VX2225 Solenoid Valve Replacement: FAQs & KLQD 2W Series Cross-Reference Guide

A replacement request may identify VX2225-06, 120V, 60Hz on the existing valve or machine record. Keep that reference and obtain the exact original manufacturer’s datasheet and nameplate before comparing a KLQD 2W candidate. A similar model code, port or nominal voltage does not establish a drop-in replacement. This guide lists the configuration and installation checks needed for an RFQ.

What is a VX2225-06 solenoid valve?

Treat VX2225-06 as the reference shown on the original identification, not as a specification proven by a similar KLQD code. Confirm the original manufacturer, exact suffix, port and thread, normal state, body/seal materials, pressure/flow data and electrical rating from the exact original datasheet and nameplate. If 120V 60Hz is required, preserve that requirement for the coil review.

FAQ

1. Can I buy the original VX2225-06 from KLQD? No. KLQD is an independent manufacturer of pneumatic and fluid control components and is not affiliated with the original brand. What we offer is a candidate from the 2W series for a configuration-specific review. Shared function or port size does not establish a drop-in equivalent.

2. Which KLQD 2W model matches a VX2225-06 requirement? If the verified application calls for a 1/8-inch, normally closed, direct-acting 2/2 configuration, 2W025-06 is a KLQD catalog reference to evaluate — 2.5 mm orifice, CV 0.23, 1/8" port, 0–1.0 MPa for air, water, oil and gas. If your piping is 1/4-inch, use 2W025-08 (same orifice and CV, 1/4" port). Always confirm the nameplate of your original valve before ordering.

3. The original valve is 120V 60Hz. Can KLQD supply that coil? Our standard coil options are DC12V, DC24V, AC24V, AC110V, AC220V and AC380V (50/60 Hz) with a ±10% voltage tolerance. Do not treat an AC110V label and nominal tolerance as approval for every 120V 60Hz circuit. Supply the full minimum/maximum voltage, frequency, duty and wiring conditions and request a written coil rating for that supply before ordering.

4. What pressures and media can the matching 2W valve handle? The 2W compact series covers air, water, oil and gas at 0–1.0 MPa (fluid viscosity ≤ 20 CST). If your original valve works at higher pressure, the 2WH high-pressure version goes up to 2.0 MPa; for low-pressure, high-flow duty there is the 2WD version. Tell us the medium and both minimum and maximum working pressure.

5. What seal materials are available? Seal options are NBR (standard), EPDM, VITON and silicone. Supply the exact fluid or formulation, concentration and operating plus cleaning temperatures. Request written seal and wetted-material compatibility for the quoted configuration instead of selecting from a generic hot-water or fuel label.

6. Do you support NPT threads for the US market? Yes. The 2W ordering code includes a thread option: G, ZG (BSPT) or NPT. Match the actual mating thread, not the destination country. Confirm G, ZG or NPT from the nameplate, connection drawing and measured installation details before ordering.

7. Is "equivalent" the same as "identical"? No — and this matters. A replacement match means the function, port size, orifice, pressure range, voltage and seal line up with your application. Dimensions may differ slightly from the original brand. Send us the nameplate photo or installation drawing and we confirm fitment before shipment.

8. What should I include in an RFQ for a VX2225 replacement? Send: the original model and nameplate info, medium, working pressure range, port size and thread standard, voltage and Hz, seal requirement, normally closed or normally open, and quantity. Sales will review the complete RFQ and confirm quotation timing for the request.
